New Event Director and General Manager of G2E Asia

(Macau / US).- Reed Exhibitions announced it has promoted Mike Johnson to Event Director and General Manager of Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia, the premier trade show and conference event dedicated to the Asian gaming markets. Johnson will continue to serve as Director of Sales and Industry Development for G2E Asia and G2E in Las Vegas.

"We are thrilled to recognize Mike for the integral role he plays in the ongoing success of the G2E portfolio of events," said Courtney Muller, senior vice president at Reed. "Based on his energy, expertise and wide-ranging experience, we look forward to Mike expanding on his current roles to help ensure that G2E and G2E Asia continue to be the largest and most successful trade show and conference events for gaming professionals."

Johnson has worked on the G2E portfolio of events for six years. As the event director and general manager for G2E Asia, Johnson will manage the portfolio's overall business in Macau. He is also responsible for all G2E and G2E Asia's revenue through management of exhibition, advertising, sponsorship and conference sales, as well as the development of the annual conference programs at the two events.

During his time with Reed, Johnson has worked on a diverse portfolio of business across the U.S. and Asia that includes security, eye care, spas and medical aesthetics. He is also a regular moderator of industry webinars and has lectured at various universities about the development of the MICE industry (meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions) as a business and tourism driver throughout the world.
