(Czech Republic).- The majority of countries in eastern Europe will move towards the introduction of video lottery terminals in the future, according to David Mixa, of Czech gaming machine manufacturer Synot.
The company, which supplies AWPs and VLTs across Europe, expects to see significant growth in Hungary, where the government is now allowing the operation of server-based systems. Other countries will soon follow suit, Mixa said, once they see the benefits of centrally monitored gaming networks.
“We believe that sooner or later all these countries will have to allow VLT systems or something very similar to it,” he told InterGame. “In a world where all countries are desperately seeking money to cover costs, it is a server-based system that offers the best solution as it enables full, real-time control of any machine or terminal in operation.”
