(US).- The Illinois Lottery received Level 2 certification from one of the most respected lottery associations in the world. The World Lottery Association granted this honor based on their high standards of corporate and social responsibility.

Within just six months of membership, the Illinois Lottery did what it takes most U.S. lotteries a year to do, when it completed a self-assessment of its current Responsible Gaming practices required for Level 2 Certification and submitted the results to the WLA's Independent Assessment Panel (IAP) of international experts.

“It is a privilege to receive Level 2 certification from the WLA – a global leader in the gaming industry. This honor puts the Illinois Lottery’s corporate and social responsibility program on the map with lotteries worldwide and shows the growth that has happened within the past year,” said Michael Jones, Superintendent of the Illinois Lottery.

The Illinois Lottery implemented a play responsibly message on all tickets and marketing materials, and informing Lottery players about the self-exclusion list and Problem Gaming Hotline.
