What can you tell us about BMM new space and offices in Vegas?
In the fall of 2012, BMM is proud to announce the opening of its new global world headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada. When fully utilized, this state-of-the-art gaming testing and certification facility will be home to over 200 employees including a compliment of what will be in excess of 150 people involved directly in the testing and certification of gaming equipment for use all over the world. The new headquarters will also serve as a center for excellence in training and education and will host regular programming to benefit regulators and manufacturers alike.
Why did you choose to make this move to a bigger place?
To be able to respond to the overwhelming growth in the demand for our services we needed a newer, larger state-of-the-art facility that could not only serve the needs of regulators and manufacturers today but well into the future. We were fortunate enough to find a location for our new global world headquarters strategically situated in Las Vegas Nevada that nearly quadruples our existing facility in size.
Have you already hired additional engineering staff members?
We continue to hire service delivery staff at a rapid clip on an ongoing basis. BMM is all about its people, and we are fortunate to have a tremendous, growing team of qualified professionals to help serve the gaming industry.
What will be the company participation at Finding Your Path interactive workshops and seminars?
Recognizing an overall need for useful, quality information in the igaming space in the US, BMM has put together these workshops and seminars in an effort to help educate the industry in making appropriate and effective decisions for their future in this space. BMM has created the workshops, their content and has assembled a top notch team of speakers from within BMM and from outside BMM to help industry participants find their path through this complicated and largely-unknown area. BMM stands ready as a trusted resource to assist in this process.
What is iGaming’s future in the US?
I think it is clear that igaming in the US is inevitable. It already is a reality is several states, with more sure to follow suit. Now is the time for the stakeholders to prepare for it and make the best choices that meet their needs. Much of this will be talked about at the workshops.
Recently, BMM has been officially approved by the Nevada Gaming Control Board as a Registered Independent Testing Laboratory (ITL). What does this represent for the firm?
BMM is thankful to have received its registration as an ITL. In anticipation of these events, we have assembled a top notch team of professionals with collectively over 30 years of experience in testing gaming product in Nevada. This includes Travis Foley, our VP of Service Delivery who was the former chief of the Nevada Gaming Control Board Electronic Service Division for many years. So far the response from the manufacturers has been overwhelming and we are busy doing more and more certification testing for Nevada. Nevada is a premier gaming jurisdiction in the world and we look forward to being a major part of the product approval process in Nevada for many years to come.
What are your plans for the coming months?
BMM continues to grow and grow. We are headed to what will surely be another record year in performance. As a service business we must focus on the quality of the testing and certification services we provide. We must continue to give manufacturers and regulators alike the utmost confidence in our abilities to do the job thoroughly and correctly and always with the highest integrity. It's all about the people at BMM. We are proud of the team of extraordinary professionals we have here. BMM is a team of many and not a voice of one!
