(US, exclusive Yogonet.com)-. Recently, Caesars Interactive Entertainment (CIE) announced the launch of WSOP presented by EA, a new play-for-fun poker to iPad, iPhone and iPod touch devices. In an interview granted to Yogonet.com, Seth Palansky, VP, Communications, Caesars Interactive Entertainment, talked about the alliance with EA Mobile and the future for mobile apps, among other things.

What can you tell us about your alliance with EA Mobile?
We’re very excited to partner with EA Mobile. They are a global iconic brand who is very-well versed in gaming and a partnership with them will really help us get a great Mobile poker game to players throughout the World.

What does World Series of Poker Presented by EA consist of?
Best than guess is to download the app!  It is free. For poker enthusiasts, you will love the game. It’s as authentic as the WSOP, just on your Mobile phone.

Will the players play-for-fun only? Are you considering to include games for real money?
Just for fun. It will remain this way. This is not a gambling game. It is simply a play for fun poker game.

Does it have any cost?
No, it costs nothing to download or play.

What audience is your target?
Our target is global, just like the WSOP. Anyone male or female age 18 to 80.

Where is this app available?
It’s right now available in the App store for iOS devices and in the Android Marketplace.

What are your objectives and expectations with World Series of Poker Presented by EA?
We want to grow people’s affinity for the great game of poker and to provide those who aren’t familiar with poker a great, fun game they can enjoy while they are on the go and have some free time.

Are you planning to launch and develop another apps?
Yes, we have set up Caesars Interactive Entertainment, and we are heavily investing and coming up with social games via Facebook, Mobile devices, tablets, etc.

What are the challenges of a project like this?
Patience. To build a great game does take time. We wish we could have had the game to market sooner, but something this great does take time.

In your opinion, what is the future for mobile apps? How will this market segment evolve?
Good question…we will have to wait and see, but there is definitely a shift to Mobile computing and Mobile is a very important space to be in and we expect that to continue.
