The new certification requirement came about with a recent policy addition in Maryland requiring formal Commission approval of testing labs. The approval of GLI as a test lab by the Maryland Lottery means GLI will be able to continue to perform its high quality testing for the jurisdiction.
GLI is the only laboratory that has tested lottery central monitoring systems for VLTs in the United States, and Maryland will make the 18th such Lottery VLT system the company has tested in the U.S.
“We are thrilled to have attained approval by the Maryland Lottery to test the range of complex systems and equipment for land-based and iGaming components that comprise the gaming landscape in Maryland. We have been honored to have worked closely with the talented and experienced technical staff of the Maryland Lottery, who were primarily responsible for the seamless opening of the three VLT facilities currently operating in Maryland,” said GLI President and CEO James Maida.
GLI delivers the highest quality testing in the gaming industry. With nearly 750 employees working in 20 labs on six continents, GLI has at least four times more capacity and ability than any gaming test lab on the planet.
GLI is currently in the process of adding 100 employees to its global staff to accommodate ever-increasing demand for its services and unsurpassed level of testing quality.
