(US).- Ernst & Young will honor one of 18 finalists, including Double Down Interactive CEO Greg Enell, as Entrepreneur Of The Year 2012. Enell represents the only social gaming company recognized as a finalist in the Pacific Northwest for this prestigious business award.

Enell co-founded Double Down Interactive in 2010 with the launch of DoubleDown Casino, which is now one of the world's largest free-to-play casino game on Facebook. By 2012, IGT acquired the Seattle-based company for us$ 500 million.

Enell credits the company's overwhelming success to a talented team of more than 100 professionals, a community of more than five million active monthly players, and a total of 27 titles currently available on DoubleDown Casino. "It's a privilege to have the opportunity to make an imprint on an industry as an entrepreneur," said Enell. "But to be recognized by Ernst & Young as one of the top entrepreneurs of the year is an honor that lasts a lifetime."

This honor recognizes Enell's driven entrepreneurial leadership, and has ignited Double Down Interactive to rapidly expand its development team. Double Down Interactive aims to fill more than 40 positions in Seattle by the end of this year, with competitive signing bonuses for developers in the social and mobile arena.

2012 has already proven to be an incredible year for Double Down Interactive. More than six new casino-style games have already been released on DoubleDown Casino in 2012, including Texas Hold'em, Brady Bunch Slot Machine and American Idol Slot Machine.
