The combination of proven games and cabinets together with the latest innovations both on the games and cabinet side literally drew in visitors and ensured that the Merkur Gaming – Jestronic stand was practically permanently busy – even though there were slightly less visitors at the ELA compared to last year.
The new Highflyer gaming cabinet was the talk of the show. At last visitors could see a cabinet that is distinctive as being very different and thus unique in its design and creativity. The second monitor is positioned higher up – seemingly floating in the air. Extensive research carried at the Gauselmann Group (the parent company of Merkur Gaming) concluded that players prefer to concentrate on one screen only. Thus, the Highflyer gives players two positions to play from: the standard position looking directly into the screen or when leaning back the player can look up to the floating screen.
Naturally Merkur Gaming provides the necessary seating so that players can truly benefit from this. This latest innovation in chairs allows players to lean back, relax and enjoy their gaming fun. The further advantage of the Highflyer is that players have a better view as the second screen no longer blocks their vision. A free view around the gaming location has a proven contributory factor in player relaxation.
Cantiflas was a famous comedian and actor from Mexico. This much-loved character is a legend in Mexico and indeed throughout Latin America. With its focus on providing ‘made in Germany’ technology together with the best possible game themes for each region, Merkur Gaming has developed the ‘Cantiflas’ game that has caught the hearts of operators and players alike at each Latin American exhibition. This was naturally the case again at the ELA where visitors were enraptured by this game. The Cantiflas look-alike added to the wonderful mood on the Merkur Gaming stand alongside the music from the Mariachis. This was a real treat and made the Merkur Gaming stand unique at the show.
The new Highflyer and Cantiflas were presented alongside the existing Merkur Gaming solutions. The Highflyer sat very comfortably besides the proven Slant Top and Premium Casino cabinets. Cantiflas was applauded alongside the Games Unlimited multi-games that include the popular games ‘Alhambra’, ‘Amazonia’, ‘Disco Queen’, ‘Egypt Sun’ and ‘Hocus Pocus’ to name just a few. Another important point at ELA was Merkur’s VLT system demonstrating the online capability of the displayed products. Especially the VLT manager is very useful for the Mexican market as it allows to fully configure Merkur machines remotely by the operator.
This focus on Latin America will continue at the forthcoming SAGSE Panama exhibition that will take place between 27th and 28th June at the Atlapa Convention Centre. Indeed Merkur Gaming is a platinum sponsor of the SAGSE Panama. The fact that Merkur Gaming has reserved the largest available stand size underlines the sheer interest and demand for the Merkur Gaming solutions. Visitors can look forward to the compelling combination of the Highflyer alongside the complete cabinet family together with the Cantiflas game and the proven Games Unlimited multi-games.
Thomas Niehenke, COO of the Gauselmann Group, explains the company focus on Latin America, “We have experienced that Latin American players enjoy and thus prefer playing on the latest innovative gaming cabinets, attracted similarly by fun and entertaining games. The new innovative Highflyer cabinet and the wonderful Cantiflas game have put Merkur Gaming in an even stronger position and that demonstrates why more and more operators around Latin America are discovering the benefits of offering Merkur Gaming solutions to their players. The feedback from the exhibitions in Columbia and Mexico has been excellent. Now we are very much looking forward to Panama”.
