(US).- Cantor Gaming and Palms Casino Resort announced the grand opening of the newly refurbished race and sports book at Palms Casino Resort, one of the few in Las Vegas to include a poker room.

The Cantor Race & Sports Book at Palms opened yesterday, following a multi-million dollar refurbishment project spanning 914 sqm that was completed in less than three months. The race and sports book offers the latest in technological advancements and convenience, including Cantor Gaming's Android-compatible mobile sports wagering application.

The refurbished race and sports book promises patrons the highest-quality visual entertainment with a 4mm black pixel LED screen totaling 119.8 sqm, capable of showing up to 33 independent sporting events and twelve independent horse races simultaneously. The refurbishment also includes a poker area, one of a few in Las Vegas that is located within a race and sports book, which features seven poker tables and one feature table, offering live poker play with dealers. In addition, a new bar called "Tonic" is located within the book.

"We pride ourselves on bringing passion and innovation to the age of gaming, and the launch of our new race and sports book with Palms is no exception; the poker area within our race and sports book is a first in Las Vegas and one we believe sports and poker fans will find immensely convenient and exciting," said Cantor Gaming President and CEO Lee M. Amaitis. "We are honored to partner with the Palms and provide sports betting patrons and poker fans with an unbeatable experience as our technology once again paves the way to a new world of wagering."
