(Netherlands).- The Gauselmann subsidiary Merkur International has opened a modern entertainment centre under the ‘Merkur Casino’ brand in this seventh largest city in the Netherlands and offers exciting leisure entertainment and gaming machines over an area of 800 square metres.

The first Merkur Casino was opened in 1986 in Amsterdam, followed by entertainment centres in Hoofddorp, Rotterdam and Boskoop. The building in Almere used to house a disco and stands out with an exceptional futuristic design. German design concepts that were exclusively developed at the company headquarters in Espelkamp can be found in the interior of the entertainment centre.

The Merkur Casino offers guests a whole range of modern electronic entertainment – from roulette to Texas Hold’em gaming machines and right up to modern multigamers with diverse exciting games. Following on from the expansion of the international activities of the Gauselmann Group, gaming machines from the Gauselmann subsidiary Merkur Gaming will also be installed in the Netherlands.

The team there naturally plays an important role in the success factor of Merkur Casino alongside the ultra-modern entertainment and stylish surroundings. The arcade manager Chris Hallie and his team of eleven ensure that guests are served with small snacks and drinks and are available for any questions concerning how the games work.

The Merkur Casino in Almere is open between 10am and 2am.
