What was the visitors response to FADJA 2012 before the Colossal Reels series, the Battleship theme and other products that have been presented?
Colombian customers, as well as the numerous customers from other Latin American customers that have visited us, have come to see us seeking innovative gaming concepts in order to enhance the appeal of its casinos. Colossal Reels responds to that concept, presenting a very attractive mathematics for the player through an extremely original gaming mechanics. Besides, our customers have also responded very positively to our new products based on third-party brands such as Battleship, or in its own WMS brands with strong support in the region, like Life of Luxury de Luxe. These products combine very strong games with the strong personality given by the brand in which they are based, which facilitates the emotional connection with the player.
Which are the main benefits that your products offer?
WMS brings innovative products, unique in their conception, which bring a huge contribution for casino operators to renew the emotions they offer to casino players. Innovation is our sign of identity, and the main contribution and benefit that our firm brings to the customers.
How will Coljuegos have influence in the Colombian market?
Coljuegos has the challenge of the organization of the Colombian market; which, in my view, should include the control in the supply of equipments and the elimination of illegal operations. With regards to the supply of equipments I would propose a double measure: to certify the gaming machines and that only the company that had obtained such certification, or its distributor or authorized agent, could sell them to casino operators. It would also apply to the supply of refurbished machines, which should be regulated, because the need of this type of equipments is undeniable by part of the national operators. This measure would be applied in the first transmission of machines, not to the sale of equipments between operators, which it has the aim to assure that gaming machines that arrive in the country comply with all the guarantees for the Administrator, the operator and the consumer.
What is the position of the company in Colombia?
WMS has a strong presence in the Colombian market, and we are proud of having contributed with our products and our support to the considerable improvement that the national casinos have been experimenting year after year.
Which are the future plans of WMS for Latin America?
From the beginning of our commercial activity in the international market, Latin America has always occupied an important position in our expansion plans. Nowadays, we are displaying the products based in server-based technologies, such as Ultra Hit Progressive or Life of Luxury De Luxe, and the remote download and configuration of gaming machines. We have also increased our presence in the region, specifically in Peru, where we will bring more commercial coverage to Central America and where we will work with our Peruvian distributor Evolution Games in order to accelerate our growth in that country.
