(Colombia, exclusive Yogonet.com).- Harmen Brenninkmeijer, Senior VP of Strategic Market Development, Inspired Gaming Group, granted an interview to Yogonet.com about the participation of the company at recent FADJA edition. “The show was great for us. Interest in server-based gaming was very positive, and a number of deals were finalised,” he pointed.

How do you evaluate your participation in FADJA 2012?
Fadja was a great show for us. Interest in server-based gaming was very positive, and a number of deals were finalised, introduced and negotiated. It was a clear indication of the rapidly changing industry in Colombia - operators were looking for new technology from proven suppliers to keep up with the industry changes and secure their incomes for the future.

We received a great deal of interest in our server-based slots product, Machete. Visitors were keen to see how Machete’s server-based gaming platform, Open SBG CORE, allows operators to keep up with new regulations and secure their incomes for the future. Many operators felt Machete was a product they can use to grow their businesses.

On top of local operators, did operators from other countries show their interest? Where did they come from mostly?
We received significant interest from visitors outside of Colombia, in particular from Mexico, Peru and Uruguay. The operators felt new technology was rapidly transforming entertainment experiences in their own countries, and understood consumers want a high definition, multi-content casino experience to match. They were particularly impressed by the fining tuning our Colombian and Mexican slot products have been through to suit local game preferences and operator requirements.

We were thrilled to discuss the benefits of multi-game slots and strong incomes generated by our library of local and international hit content, which is available on all of Inspired’s terminals.

What products generated the most interest?
Machete, our server-based slots product especially for Colombian operators, was the focus of our stand and captivated the most interest at the show. Operators were impressed by the cabinet’s twin 22” high-definition (HD) widescreen displays. As with all of Inspired’s machines, Machete is powered by Open SBG CORE technology, which allows content to be remotely updated on demand from Inspired’s unrivalled library of content.

Inspired’s library of content is made possible by its open API, which encourages content from leading game developers all over the world. This multi-game, multi-developer approach has proven to increase incomes for operators.

There was also significant interest in Sabre, our high end electronic roulette product. Due to its impressive net win, it’s a sure bet for all venues. Additionally, our multi-platform virtual sports were of interest, as operators realise virtual sports betting will grow revenues without deflecting from venue’s existing offering. Both products are experiencing global gaming success and are very appealing to Latin American operators because of the quality of entertainment and proven income performance.

Sports Betting is gaining popularity as a leading form of entertainment in Latin America, and operators are keen to keep up with most recent industry trends. Inspired recently signed an agreement with Caliente for its Virtual Sports betting product spanning 13 countries in Latin America, including Mexico, Panama and Venezuela. Our virtual sports team is currently travelling in Latin America promoting the product, we expect to announce new operators very soon.

Sabre is Inspired’s fourth generation electronic roulette and has extensive player and operator research at the heart of all its new features. The internationally successful high definition product recently gained GLI certification and over 1,000 have been installed across Europe, the USA and Asia Pacific. Leading the industry, Sabre has many unique easy betting features, including four colour coded wheels to choose from and a second "Player Portal" touch screen for game results and analysis. Sabre can be connected to any combination of live, automated or random number generated wheels.

In your opinion, what are the next challenges of the Colombian market?
The Colombian market is going through a very exciting period of change. It is one of the few stable markets in Latin America and has been for many years. Coljuegos has been tasked with the enormous challenge of ensuring the government has a legitimate and well controlled industry. The changes in regulation will mean operators will require more control across their venues. This will be a positive step forward for all involved, and I look forward to a legitimate, growing and regulated industry, which will generate revenues for the government and create employment and economic benefits.

What are Inspired's upcoming plans for Latin America?
We hope to help operators unlock their earning potential with our proven server-based gaming technology, and allow them to future proof their venues against changes in regulation. Inspired will be exhibiting its exciting range of server-based slots, casino games, Latin bingo and virtual sports on booth #68 at ELA, Mexico 16-17th May.
