Expected to open early next month, the new poker area will feature eight tables offering live dealers. “We are honoured that Palms has chosen us to manage its poker area,” said Lee Amaitis, President and CEO for Cantor Gaming. “There is a natural overlap between sportsbettors and poker players and by situating poker within the sportsbook we can offer customers maximum entertainment and convenience.”
January saw Cantor Gaming receive final licensing approval from the Nevada Gaming Commission and the Nevada Gaming Control Board to operate a race and sportsbook inside the Palms Casino Resort. It currently offers an ancillary sports-only book near the venue’s Mint High Limit Lounge while construction continues.
“We are excited to further our relationship with Cantor Gaming, reputed for its creative and innovative approach to sports wagering and mobile casino games,” said Joseph Magliarditi, President of Palms. “Our decision to relocate the poker room to the new race and sports book was a natural one given the synergies that exist between poker players and sportsbettors. We are confident that a sleek new poker room will be a spectacular addition to our resort and one that offers poker fans the ultimate in poker playing experiences.”
