“The Colombian market is significant to TransAct”

This is the second year for TransAct at the Andean Gaming Trade Show – FADJA Why did you decide to participate again?
We were inspired by the level of interest in the Epic 950 TITO printer and in the Epicentral Print System from South American customers at last year's show. Casino customers told us they were excited to see the Epic 950 emerging as the TITO market leader and they like seeing TransAct's direct presence at the Fadja show.

What can you tell us about the products that you have chosen to present?
We will be presenting our full line of Epic printers for the casino and gaming industries – whether it is a ticket printer for TITO or a roll printer for kiosk and gaming applications – there's sure to be an Epic printer for every application! Also, we are thrilled to be showing the Epicentral Print System which is having a big impact around the world. Epicentral is the software system that allows casinos to print promotional coupons and marketing messages directly from the existing Epic 950 printer in the slot machine. Exciting and new, this technology has already been implemented across casino floors in the US has been recently launched in both Europe and Asia. We look forward to seeing it live on a casino floor in the South American regions soon!

What does the Colombian market represent for TransAct? What is the business climate for your company in this country?
The Colombian market is significant to TransAct as we have already formed wonderful relationships with Gaming Manufacturers, Casino Customers and Distribution partners in this region. We see a tremendous opportunity to grow awareness for the Epic 950 and Epicentral as the casinos in this region continue to grow and invest in technology. We want to be there to help them when they're ready to implement TITO or perhaps when they're ready for a more reliable ticket printer like the Epic 950. We appreciate the business climate in Bogota where we are free to continue to grow the relationships and to introduce new technology to interested casinos.

After the debut of your Epic 950 printer in US, what are your goals regarding this product in South America?
We are truly committed to seeing the Epic 950 continue to grow upon its established presence in the US and achieve wide acceptance in South America. We certainly anticipate that the product's reliability and reputation will earn it a spot with every major operator. Once the Epic 950 has been widely accepted, it is a natural to upgrade the product with ServerPort and link it to Epicentral, the coupon printing software that prints marketing messages and offers at the slot – while the player is playing.
