“We have simply outgrown the space we are in, so we are moving our growing Systems group to an adjacent building to provide both groups, Systems and Games, with more room to operate,” said Sutherland. In total, Konami is picking-up approximately 25,000 square feet of needed office space.
“We continue to see strong double digit ship share figures on the games side of our business, and the demand for our industry-leading system, KCMS, continues to grow as customers learn more about its unparalleled reliability and marketing horsepower,” added Sutherland. “In fact, we were recently selected to replace existing systems with KCMS at several casinos in the markets we serve. If we continue to stay focused on putting out solid games and systems products and supporting them with world-class customer service, hopefully we will be expanding again in the future.”
Konami’s success on the games side of the business has been driven by its Podium, Podium Slant, Advantage 5, and Advantage Revolution cabinets. Popular themes include Electrifying Riches, Fire of the East and Rock Around the Clock.
“Konami will continue to unveil innovative products with our launch of the all-new Fortune Chaser multi-level progressive game and Dynamic 5 cabinet in 2012,” commented Ross O’Hanley, Vice President, Domestic Game Sales. “These are just the latest in a series of products that are ‘Born From Fun’ by Konami, and we expect them to continue the track record of success we have experienced with our legacy products.”
