(US).- On March 17, twenty-seven Konami Gaming employees participated in a new home construction project in North Las Vegas sponsored by Habitat for Humanity. The participants, who were comprised of employees from numerous departments within Konami Gaming, worked together to advance construction on a single-family home.

“Konami has a proud history of supporting the communities in which it operates,” said Steve Sutherland, Chief Operating Officer of Konami Gaming. “I am very pleased that our employees donated their time to benefit such a worthy organization as Habitat for Humanity.  There is nothing more rewarding than to know you helped build a home for a deserving family.”

Every year, Konami’s Community Involvement Committee selects local non-profit organizations in the community and organizes events for its employees to volunteer as a way to demonstrate continued support of the greater Las Vegas community.  Habitat for Humanity was pleased to be selected for this initiative in March.

“Habitat for Humanity’s continuing efforts in neighborhoods such as Vegas Heights will ensure that these communities will stabilize for everyone living there and add new working families into the community,” said Meg Delor, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas. “With every new family that moves in with ambitions to create a better life, Vegas Heights becomes a safer, more vibrant community.”
