(US).- Bally Technologies hosted its three-day Systems User Conference 9 at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California, March 6-8. The conference, featuring the theme “Be a Player,” was attended by a record 550 gaming operators representing more than 160 properties and 14 countries.

Attendees participated in Bally’s DM Tournaments throughout the conference, learning firsthand about the excitement of floor-wide promotions powered by Bally systems products. Operators competed in the slot tournaments on gaming machines made by five different manufacturers, showcasing the powerful capabilities of iVIEW DM and the Elite Bonusing Suite (EBS).

Customers learned about the new Bally Interactive division, and Bally Mobile solutions were showcased throughout the conference. Attendees saw how Bally’s custom mobile apps are used by some of the most respected casinos in the world to reach players and increase excitement about the casino resort.

In addition, attendees learned practical tips and innovative ideas, while networking with operators from around the globe to help them get the most from their Bally Systems solutions. The attendees represented a 30 percent increase from Systems User Conference 8 last year, also held at Pechanga.

“Each year I look forward to meeting with the hundreds of respected gaming leaders who attend this event and have a strong interest in Bally’s latest systems solutions,” said Bally Technologies’ President and COO Ramesh Srinivasan. “This year was especially rewarding as a record number of our valuable customers attended the conference. It truly showed Bally has great partners who want to get the most from their continued investments in our technology.”

Srinivasan added, “This year we provided an even higher caliber of educational sessions, product demonstrations, and voice-of-customer panels highlighted by real-world case studies and workshops for our attendees. It was also exciting to see an increase in attendees from casino marketing departments, which demonstrates the value of our solutions for increasing the casino guest experience.”

Bally’s systems connect and manage gaming machines worldwide, and much of what is learned from the global customer base in terms of scale and complexity is embedded in the technologies spotlighted at the conference. Since 2005, Bally Technologies’ systems customer base has grown 76 percent. In addition to competing in two conference tournaments (Mobile and DM Tournaments), conference attendees had the opportunity to experience many of Bally’s systems products.

One of the key products highlighted was the award-winning iVIEW DM player-communication technology, which enables gaming operators to present personalized content, such as player account information and directed marketing messages, on the main game screen without interrupting play. iVIEW DM also enables point-of-sale marketing to improve player experiences.

Also shown was Bally’s EBS. When combined with Bally’s iVIEW and iVIEW DM player-user-interfaces, EBS creates incredible excitement on the casino floor through floor-wide bonusing events at each gaming machine.

Attendees also had the opportunity to learn more about exciting and innovative Bally products such as CoolSign media-management, which allows operators to manage digital displays throughout a casino.

To enrich the conference, Bally also hosted basketball legend Earvin “Magic” Johnson, who gave an inspirational speech to attendees about succeeding in business and life and overcoming challenges.

A record number of sponsors for Bally Systems User Conference 9, listed in alphabetical order, included a number of leading gaming industry partners that had their products and services on display: ACI, Agilysys, AGT, Spacheta, Avnet, Axiomtex, BCM Advanced Research, Bsquare, Cisco Systems, FutureLogic, HP, IBM, Kontron, JCM, MEI, MICROS Systems, Inc., Mintronix, New Wave Automation, NRT Technology Corp., PAR, Pechanga Technology Solutions Group, Seneca, Sightline Payments, Software AG, Stratus, TekVisions, Transact Technologies, and VMware.
