IGT receives operational excellence award from ML 100 Awards

The ML 100 Awards honor top manufacturing organizations worldwide for their achievements in transformational business projects and innovation. The Operational Excellence Award acknowledges IGT's "Engineering and Manufacturing Cost Reduction Project," which aims to transform the company's production processes and systems with a keen focus on reducing costs and enhancing agility.

"This award is a testament to what a true team effort can deliver. The integration of hard work and dedication by IGT's Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams has allowed IGT to be more flexible and responsive to our global customers' needs," said Matthew LaBranch, IGT vice president of manufacturing operations.

IGT is committed to manufacturing excellence and holds accreditations through the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), and holds International Organization Standardization ISO/IEC 17025: 2005 and ISO 9001:2008 certifications for the last five and 16 years, respectively.

Manufacturing Executive is a global community for manufacturing leadership and the producer of the Manufacturing Leadership Summit and Awards program. The ML 100 Awards honor companies that are shaping the future of global manufacturing.

IGT will be honored on May 2, 2012 during the Manufacturing Leadership Summit in Palm Beach, Florida. IGT is also in the running for the Manufacturing Executive organization's High Achiever Award, the 2012 Manufacturer of the Year Award and the 2012 Project of the Year Award.
