(Iceland).- International Game Technology informed about the signing of a six-year contract extension with the University of Iceland Lottery (UIL). The agreement includes the installation of 230 new G MLD cabinets, which will feature IGT's unrivaled graphics and renowned 3D technology.

"This agreement is a testament to IGT's unwavering customer commitment," said Craig Churchill, IGT Senior Vice President International. "By continuing to offer a streamlined, integrated, innovative games and systems solution, IGT will help University of Iceland Lottery provide a cutting-edge player experience."

UIL's partnership with IGT began in December 1993 when UIL received its authorization to operate Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) for revenue expansion purposes for the University system. Currently, UIL utilizes the IGT Casinolink and EZ Pay systems and operates 500 IGT gaming terminals, mainly installed in bars, taverns and arcades all over Iceland.

"University of Iceland Lottery management is thrilled to continue our long-term relationship with IGT, which enables us to deliver engaging content and exciting gaming experiences to our patrons," said Bryndis Hrafnkelsdottir, Chief Executive Officer, UIL.

UIL exclusively operates IGT gaming terminals, 500 total, located in approximately 35 locations. The 230 new G MLD terminals will replace existing IGT Trimline machines.
