(Spain).- The privatization of Spanish Airports and Aerial Navigation (Aena) and State Lotteries and Bets (LAE) could be approved in the next Council of Ministers. With the aim to make up for a 8% deficit in the GDP, the government considers the partial privatization of Aena and LAE. With this operation, they would receive more than 10 billion euros.

The mentioned number is superior to the one planned by the previous government, which had anticipated around 5 billion euros in incomes for the private management of El Prat and Barajas airports. The rest, until exceeding the 10 billion euros, would belong to the privatization of the 30% of the Lotteries.

Cristóbal Montoro, Minister of Economy, announced that the government is preparing new urgent measures to “heal” the public deficit with the aim to present them to the Council in an upcoming meeting.
