(Macau).- SJM Holdings has already received a letter from the government saying the gaming operator will be granted a land parcel in Cotai. The news was broke by SJM Holdings’s CEO, Ambrose So Shu Fai.

“In principle, we got a letter saying that it [the government] will grant the land to us, but we haven’t been given any further notice about, for example, the premium payment,” So said, quoted by TDM.

He added he expects the grant process to be completed next year, with SJM Holdings  ready to invest up to us$ 2 billion in developing the land.

So didn’t provide any more details on the deal, namely on the size or localization of the plot. In 2007, SJM Holdings filed a land application to the government for two parcels in Cotai.
