The judging panel for the American Manufacturing Strategy Awards, which recognizes outstanding achievement in manufacturing, consisted of senior-level executives involved in the manufacturing industry representing global giants including Caterpillar, The Clorox Company and PepsiCo.
Bally won the award for “Outstanding Achievement in Continuous Improvement,” which honors the company’s excellence in motivating employees to remove waste from processes. A key consideration for the judging panel was that continuous improvement be ingrained in the winner’s company culture and a natural part of the day-to-day life of all staff.
The company also took top honors in the “Demand-Driven Manufacturing” category, which recognizes the business that has expertly implemented demand-driven manufacturing doctrine into the company culture. Bally had to demonstrate how it has effectively responded to changes in demand and collaborated with the supply chain to manage short lead times and meet customer demand.
“We are thrilled and humbled to have won two of these prestigious awards in a competition where we were up against some of the world’s largest and leading manufacturing companies,” said Doug Mack, Vice President of Operations at Bally Technologies. “This recognition is a positive reflection on the entire Bally team and our company culture which is focused on continuous improvement, quality and a strong sense of collaboration to get high-performing products to our customers faster.”
