(Bulgaria, exclusive Yogonet.com).- Daniel van Marissing, EGT Director Sales & Marketing, granted an interview to Yogonet.com to talk about the performance of the company in 2011, the current situation of the gaming industry and the most outstanding news of the year. “We expect further growth of EGT in the markets where we are present and expansion into new markets”, he stated.

What is the balance of this 2011?
This year meant for Euro Games Technology a breakthrough into many new markets for which we have been working hard; not just getting the approvals or getting compliant with the various gaming laboratories and other certificates but in particular by means of market presence: EGT enjoyed a significant market growth in countries like Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Poland, Slovenia, Croatia, South Africa, Macedonia, Georgia, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Panama, Argentina, Laos, Philippines....up to an impressive 60 countries and it will not stop there!
How was the general gaming industry in a year with an economic crisis that affected many markets?
We believe that direct effects of the economic crisis are mainly felt in the Western hemisphere. The gaming industry has become more cost efficient and the crisis is provoking a gradual shift in what and how the gaming industry offers its guest in products and services. EGT is used to uphill battles and this movement is actually presenting new opportunities for us of which the gaming industry will enjoy the first products in 2012.

In your opinion, what was the most outstanding news of the year?
The news that our games have become the number one performer in various jurisdictions. It clearly confirms the fine work of our developers our which is enjoyed by our valued customers. The road EGT has taken is going in the right direction and that is outstanding news!

In your opinion, what was the most innovative product or service launched this year?
Surely you are referring to the products of EGT?! Cat 4 Cash, our first themed jackpot, is definitely something to retain!! Furthermore, we launched the first P-series video slots. Just one look will tell you more than one need to say. Check it out yourself at the upcoming ICE-show in London.

What are the company's plans for 2012?
We expect further growth of EGT in the markets where we are present and expansion into new markets not only with our present product range but also by means of diversification into new types of markets where we believe to have a strong potential. At EGT, we like challenges! We are 9 years old and still growing thanks to an impressive R&D department, the very heart of our company.

How will be the 2012 for the gaming industry in general? Will it be similar to 2011? Do you think that we will see a growth in the activity?
2012 will confirm what we all started in 2011. There are no overnight revolutions in our line of business exceptions excluded. The organisations and products have become far too complicated for this. Growth there will be in certain sectors of our market and for sure EGT will be part of that growth.
