Playtech signed licensing deal with Platinum Studios

The deal could see Playtech adapt many more of Platinum Studios’ international library of more than 5,000 comic book characters for online games with the full launch of the Cowboys & Aliens slot at multiple sites in numerous global markets expected over the summer.

Cowboys & Aliens tells the story of an alien invasion in the 19th Century and a live action film based on the novel was recently released by Universal Pictures and Paramount Pictures before going on to gross over us$ 170 million worldwide. The movie, which was directed by Jon Favreau, is soon to be released on Blu-Ray, DVD and other formats and stars Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford and Olivia Wilde.
