Chilean casinos generated more than us$ 431 million in gross income in 2011

(Chile).- Chile Casino Superintendence informed that, during October, the 15 casinos which are currently operating generated gross gaming incomes (win) for us$ 44,470,000 and received 578,472 visits, which, on average, spent us$ 39,340 each.

Besides, the 15 city councils and 10 regional governments have to receive us$ 7,440,000 for specific gaming tax, and the State us$ 3,060,000 of income tax. Operating societies also generated us$ 7,100,000 in VAT gaming concept.

Compared to last month, gross gaming incomes regustered an increment of 0.61 %, because in September the win was us$ 44,200,000 and in October of us$ 44,470,000, which is mainly due to the increment in the number of visits in a 7.72 %, in September 537,000 visits were registered and in October this year, 578,472. Besides, the average expense per visit decreased a 1.19%, from $ 39.814 to $ 39.340 in the last month.

Complying with the norm established by SCJ for games of chance machines of granting jackpots no less than 85% of the bets in the total of combination of possible plays, the 8,529 games of chance machines in operation brought an average of 93.5% of return as a jackpot for players. While the total amount bet was us$ 544,860,000, the win in games of chance for the 15 casinos was of us$ 35,200,000, which means that the jackpots won by players reached the us$ 509,660,000.

Of the total of us$ 44,470,000 win, Monticello Grand Casino represented the 28.8% (us$ 12,790,000), Casino Rinconada 13,2% (us$ 5,880,000), Marina del Sol 12.5% (us$ 5,540,000), Enjoy Antofagasta 9.6% (us$ 4,270,000), Dreams Temuco 7% (us$ 3,130,000), Dreams Punta Arenas 5.1% (us$ 2,250,000), Casino Sol Calama 4.5% (us$ 2,020,000), Antay Casino & Hotel 3.9% (us$ 1,710,000), Dreams Valdivia 3.5% (us$ 1,570,000), Gran Casino de Talca 3.4% (us$ 1,520,000), Casino Sol Osorno 2.8% (us$ 1,250,000), Casino de Juegos del Pacífico 2.1% (us$ 920,000), Casino de Colchagua 1.9% (us$ 860,000), Casino Gran Los Ángeles 1.6% (us$ 70,000) and Termas de Chillán 0.2% (us$ 70 billion).

With September results, the casino industry has generated during 2011 a total of us$ 431,380,000 in gross gaming income, us$ 71,990,000 on specific gaming tax, us$ 68,880,000 in VAT concept and us$ 30,450,000 in income tax. Besides, casinos have received, during the year, a total of 5,443,638 visits, which, in average, have spent us$  37,837.
