(US).- American Gaming Systems (AGS) announced that it has entered into a licensing agreement with GameTech International allowing AGS to access GameTech’s extensive library of proven video games specifically developed for video lottery terminal (VLT) markets such as Louisiana and Montana for use by AGS once licensed in the pending Illinois video gaming market.

The agreement gives AGS exclusive rights to initially select five titles from GameTech’s video game library that includes poker, keno, lineup and blackjack games. AGS also has right of first refusal and the option to license additional titles.

GameTech titles, which are also offered under its Summit brand, are particularly popular in the Louisiana VLT market that shares similarities with the limited-bet, limited-jackpot market planned for Illinois when the Illinois Video Gaming Act ultimately goes live.

“This agreement supplements AGS’ existing pipeline of games to support our future Illinois customers and allows for new and unique titles to join our existing lineup of games on the Gambler’s Choice machines and Roadrunner platform, including the recently licensed Cherry Master brand,” said AGS CEO Robert Miodunski. “We are confident that the game-play characteristics found in these GameTech and Summit titles, and very popular in markets such as Louisiana, will draw a loyal following among players in Illinois when the video gaming market opens there.

“These new title additions are yet another step in AGS’ commitment to provide players and operators a robust line of games and systems tailored specifically for the Illinois market,” Miodunski added.
