How are you preparing for the 19th edition of SAGSE Buenos Aires?
We are very well prepared, expectant with the release of some new products and analyzing the near future for the industry at a regional level.
How do you think the change in schedule and its organization after G2E Las Vegas will affect SAGSE?
We think it is positive for everyone. It allows the release of new technologies and products in Buenos Aires after its presentation in G2E, which is what the companies wish to do.
In which aspects will the presentation of your firm be different compared to the products presented in Las Vegas?
We are bringing practically all the same products and novelties presented in Las Vegas a few weeks ago. We will be showcasing and releasing the iVIZION to the regional market, which will soon be ready for its commercial launch to the regional market, and the ICB (Intelligent Cash Box) system, the most advanced and popular box control system of the gaming market in US. We will also be showcasing the new JCM printer, Paycheck 4, as well as other units that cover the needs in different market segments of the regional gaming sector.
Which are the main characteristics of the latest releases?
The iVIZION is the most advanced bill validator of the market nowadays. Some of its most notorious features are the CIS (Contact Image Sensing) technology, the most revolutionary in the market, scanning 75 times more points of the bill than any other product of the competence, scanning the 100% of the ticket to 100 DPI. Its speed of acceptance and storage is of 2.7 seconds per bill, it allows the passage of the bill totally sealed to dust and water, and it has an easy maintenance. The incorporated RFID technology allows not only using the ICB system without plaques or additional modules, but also brings the possibility of a myriad of future applications.
The ICB system is a system to control the collection of casinos. It not only speeds up and improves the collection process of the bill, but also helps saving time and money to different casino areas, from the technical services, operations, until the accounting area.
JCM has had the ICB system in US and Europe for almost 10 years. JCM has installed a base of more than 63,000 slots under this system, and in the following two years, the installation of other 25,000 machines is planned.
The ICB system is coming at the right time to Latin American operators. It is an already consolidated product, which brings all the guarantees to achieve the maximum optimization of resources in casinos.
How have you seen the Argentine and Latin American industry during 2011?
If we consider what is going on in markets such as US and Europe, we have to say that what has happened in Latin America has been very positive. We see strong investments in several new venues, but we mainly see a great movement towards the consolidation of the market at an operational level and the search of the optimization of the already existing operators, which we consider is very healthy. That’s why we think that both iVIZION and the ICB system have come in the right time to help customers to comply with these goals.
