During the last couple of years, you decided not to participate at trade shows with your own stand. Why's that?
We have not had our own stand at gaming shows the last couple of years because, when we are at a gaming show, we have to visit some of our suppliers and we already have a lot of appointments made with customers weeks before the show. This already takes away most of our time so we can’t stay enough on our own stand in order to welcome our guests. Even if we do not have a stand, we are meeting quite a lot of customers. We know that we are missing some potential customers but we can’t do all, so we go for quality and a bit less quantity.
You've visited recent G2E edition. How have you seen the show?
Last edition of G2E was quite positive for us. We had meetings with some of our long date customers and closed some deals. Unfortunately some customers of South America did not visit the show due to latest changes in Venezuela, Ecuador and Mexico, but we can say that in general it was quite positive for us. However, results weren’t as good as in previous years. A lot of South American operators I have seen that they are a bit afraid to invest for the moment, and due to this bad news, they prefer to wait and see for better times.
The location of the show is better as well as the disposition of stands. The show organizer did a lot to make it easier for visitors to find the products and manufacturers they were looking for.
Which are the new products that Seeben is offering in different international markets?
Seeben is now agent of E-Gaming, from Czech Republic, a manufacturer of VLT with more than 12000 machines in operation connected to their servers. We are now busy closing some deals with partners in Latin America. Another very important activity of the company is the sale of second hand slot machines; we have been providing pre owned slot machines to this industry for more than 25 years and there are not many companies which have been doing this type of business for such a long period. We acquired a lot of experience over all these years and we have a large client base that comes regularly to buy the equipment. And new customers are finding easily their way to us via our website and our Internet adverts like Yogonet website etc,…
Which are the next steps of the company in terms of new developments and targeted markets?
We are visiting the most important Gaming shows in order to meet some customers. We try to increase the number of visitors on our website and are focusing on markets where our presence should be improved. We are always looking for new products and market opportunities as our industry is changing continuously.
