Galaxy Entertainment’s EBITDA almost triples

(Macau)- Galaxy Entertainment Group’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) went up by 191 % year-on-year in the third quarter of 2011, to us$ 231 million. This was the group’s 12th consecutive quarter of EBITDA growth.
Galaxy Entertainment Group didn’t provide data for net profit for the period. Revenue in the third quarter was up 148 % year-on-year, to us$ 1.70 billion.
The results were boosted by the group’s new flagship property, Galaxy Macau, opened in May, which posted a strong first full quarter EBITDA of us$ 125 million.
