(Macau).- Baccarat accounted for 91 % of Macau’s gross gaming and gambling revenues between January and September, according to figures published by the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (GICB).

(Macau).- Baccarat accounted for 91 % of Macau’s gross gaming and gambling revenues between January and September, according to figures published by the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (GICB).
In the nine-month period, gamblers spent us$ 24.293 billion in the region’s casinos and the two varieties of baccarat – VIP and regular – accounted for gross revenues of us$ 17.5 billion and 4.25 billion, respectively, or 21.7 billion altogether.
In third place, although far behind regular baccarat, were slot machines with gross revenues of 1 billion. As well as casino gaming, gaming in Macau also includes horse and dog racing, Chinese lotteries, scratch cards and betting on soccer and basketball games.
At the end of June, there were 34 casinos in Macau, 20 of which were owned by Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, three by Venetian Macau, five by Galaxy Casino, three by Melco/PBL Jogos (Macau) and one each by Wynn Resorts and MGM Grand Paradise.
