Boyd Gaming names Richard Flaherty to Board of Directors

(US).- Boyd Gaming announced that Richard Flaherty has been appointed to the company's board of directors. He is the retired Dean of the Eberhardt School of Business at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, a position he held from September 2008 to July 2010.
Prior to that time, Flaherty served for eight years as Dean of the College of Business at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
"Dean Flaherty brings a deep understanding of business and financial strategy, as well as a unique perspective on the Las Vegas community, to our board of directors," said William S. Boyd, Executive Chairman of Boyd Gaming. "We are excited to welcome him to our company, and are confident he will provide invaluable counsel as we grow the business in the years ahead."
Flaherty's appointment expands the company's board to 12 members, including seven independent directors.
