How was the 2011 G2E edition compared to previous years?
For our surprise, for different reasons we feel that G2E 2011 was not as successful as previous editions. The distribution of the new place was not as clear and efficient compared to previous years, and there was a notable decrease of public both in the aísles of the exhibition and in the booths, compared not only to last year but to all the previous editions. The decline of participants in general, and of the Latin American public in particular, has been notable due to the recent political situation that the market is experiencing. Fortunately, in Amusgo we had active days during which we could fix diverse operations.
How was the participation of the company at the show?
Amusgo participated in two stands (one with Alfastreet and the other with EGT) where, despite the low affluence of public and thanks to the product appeal, we managed to achieve a positive feedback from visitors.
How did you perceive the industry in the halls of the Sands Expo & Convention Center?
Most of machine manufacturers were present at the exhibition. There were not so many apparent product novelties compared to other editions. Besides, it was evident the absence of companies offering complementary services, which are of great interest for gaming operators.
Which was the feedback from operators?
The feedback was quite profitable for the firm, because it help us improve both our existing equipments and those in development. Besides, the operators are satisfied with the commercial offer we have, as well as with the chance to adapt to different regulations in each country. It puts us in an avant-guard position in the market.
Which were the main markets of the company?
The main markets for Amusgo are the Latin American countries, where we are boosting our products, on top of the design and adjustment of equipments for emerging markets. After the expo, we traveled to Spain to do some business.
Which are the firm’s plans for 2012?
2012 will be a key year for Amusgo. Among the main objectives, we aim to install again in the Mexican market, with the necessary conversions so games can be accepted in the legal frame of the country, due to contingencies that have affected the operation of multi-games. Another purpose is to install the machines of our associated firms Amatic, EGT, Juno and Amusgo in Mexico, Latin America and Spain, as well as to continue with the development of new products.
