Among the exhibitors there is Spanish company Zitro. With a stand of 600 sqm, it has set a new record as the largest in the exhibition. It is followed by Ortiz Gaming-Eibe Games, with over 500 sqm and Recreativos Franco, with almost 300 sqm
"Spanish and Brazilian multi-national companies are betting very heavily in Mexico, even though the country is going through difficult times. Their presence thus supports the policy of Felipe Calderon’s government to root out underground gaming. Meanwhile, most US companies have chosen to take what we may call a strategic withdrawal,” commented ELA General Director, Pablo G. Jara.
“We understand that this is the time to be present in Mexico, to let organised crime know that legal gaming is not only possible, but that government bodies and the private industry are committed to its defence," concluded Pablo G. Jara.
In view of the high demand for stands, ELA has reserved another 6,000 sqm room, in case the event has to be extended.
