How was G2E 2011 compared to other years?
Aquiles Mila de la Roca: G2E is always one of the highlights of the year, not just for Crane Payment Solutions but for the industry as a whole. This year was no exception and the change of date and venue made it an exciting and fresh experience.
Do you consider that the changes have been positive?
David John: As Aquiles said, G2E is one of the highlights of the gaming calendar but even the best things can do with a shake up every now and then! I think that the new venue on the Strip, attached to the Venetian and Palazzo, is a very good location.
How did you perceive the industry at Sands Expo & Convention Center's halls?
AMR: It was good to see so much of the industry turn up at the new venue. I understand that visitor numbers were up this year and that was reflected in the number of visitors to our stand.
What was Crane’s performance at the show? What was your experience with your core brands, NRI, CashCode and Money Control showcasing in one stand?
AMR: The new company structure has strengthened and enhanced the products and services we can now offer our customers. Showcasing all the Crane Payment Solutions core brands on one stand allowed us to show customers our cutting-edge product range all in one place.
What products did Crane exhibit this year at G2E?
DJ: Among the products that Crane Payment Solutions displayed were Money Controls Ardac Elite and CashCode one bill validators. Other products on display included Money Controls Universal Hopper and NRI G-13.mft coin validator.
What was the feedback received from visitors and customers?
DJ: Feedback was very positive and it was good to be able to meet with so many of our customers and show them the enhanced product range and strong offering that Crane Payment Solutions presents.
AMR: As David said, feedback from operators at G2E was very positive. Customers come first for Crane Payment Solutions and it was good to be able to talk to so many of them in person at the show.
With a wide presence at international markets, which are the ones in which the company is currently more focused on?
DJ: One of the strengths of Crane Payment Solutions is that we are now competitive in all markets with our enhanced product range. Whatever market or sector you are in, Crane Payment Solutions has a cutting-edge product that can benefit your business.
AMR: Crane Payment Solutions operates across the world in gaming, amusement, vending, retail and transportation markets. We have a large sales network and global offices which allow us to connect with our customers in all markets and regions even more closely than before.
Getting closer to the end of a year affected by an important economic crisis, how do you evaluate 2011 for your company?
DJ: Obviously the economic crisis has had an effect on everyone in the US and Europe -not just those involved in gaming- and like everyone we are looking forward to the recovery of the economy which will come. As Crane Payment Solutions we have a strong offering and an expanded product range which has helped to ensure a good business performance and overall 2011 has been an exciting year for us.
What are your plans for 2012?
AMR: At Crane Payment Solutions our main perspectives will continue to be innovation, quality and customer service. We are looking forward to developing new products across the brands that meet our customer needs and expectations and to working with them to build a strong future for us all.
