Genting to open New York’s first casino in October 28

With the opening, RWNY will offer to New Yorkers and tourists a premier entertainment hub providing a world-class gaming and entertainment experience, with casino machines, shows, events and culinary delights.

RWNY is located at the Aqueduct Racetrack in the borough of Queens, adjacent to the John F. Kennedy International Airport. As the first casino in the city, RWNY will be operated by Genting New York, a wholly- owned subsidiary of Genting Malaysia Berhad (Genting Malaysia).

As the first phase, RWNY will open Times Square Casino on the first floor with 2,485 electronic slot machines (also known as Video Lottery Terminals or VLTs) and Electronic Table Games (ETGs). Times Square Casino will also offer first-class dining selections from around the world – from seasonal and international offerings at the Aqueduct Buffet to an extensive variety of options in the new food court, including Wolfgang Puck Express, Stage Deli and Queens Burger.

Visitors can sip cocktails and enjoy the spectacular views of the Aqueduct Racetrack from the swanky new Bar 360 and Lounge at the heart of the gaming floor. As the hub of the entertainment experience at RWNY, Bar 360 offers seating for 200 people in a theater-in-the-round setting around a stage that will serve as host to countless live music, comedy and other entertainment acts. At Bar 360, patrons can enjoy the live action of major sporting events on panoramic high-definition television screens, and sit on new terraces overlooking the Aqueduct Racetrack.

A second phase will follow two months later with additional restaurants and 2,515 more slot machines and table games. RWNY will open the 5th Avenue Casino and Crockfords Casino on the second floor, as well as Central Park Events Center.

In addition to unveiling new upscale signature dining options such as RW Prime Steakhouse and the authentic Chinese-themed Genting Palace, RWNY will flip the switch on 2,515 additional VLTs and ETGs. The 130,000 square feet Central Park Events Center will offer an exciting new venue for a multitude of events.

RWNY and its new amenities will provide a total of 6,400 parking spaces and will be easily accessible by public transportation. By the end of 2011, a new covered skybridge connecting RWNY directly to the Aqueduct subway station will be fully operational.
