(Austria).- APEX gaming has applied for a licence to operate gaming machines (AWPs) in the state of Upper Austria in Austria. The application refers to operating gaming machines in both arcades and single sites.

Apart from the requirement of proving 8,000 euros per machine as collateral, a working concept on responsible gaming - in other words player protection – must be submitted.

This plays to the strengths of APEX gaming as Mr. Johannes Weissengruber, CEO and founder of APEX gaming explains: “APEX gaming can look back on years on experience in both manufacturing and operating gaming machines. Thus, we have developed a social charter on responsible gaming of the highest level.”

“We are thus strongly positioned to potentially receive an operating licence for AWPs in the important state of Upper Austria where our global headquarters are situated”.

The licencing procedure is very stringent in Austria.
