(US, exclusive Yogonet.com).- Curtis Hallowell, VP Product Management and Riana Jimenez, Regional Channel Manager—Latin America from Cummins Allison, talked to Yogonet.com about the performance of the firm at recent G2E show, and the innovative developments showcased at the event. They also commented about the feedback received by visitors and customers and made an evaluation on the firm’s current situation.

Cummins Allison introduced this year at G2E innovative developments with the new line of JetScan iFX products. What can you tell me about them?
Our JetScan iFX products were designed to bring efficiency throughout the entire gaming facility; these products improve productivity by processing currency faster than any desktop product available. Advanced counterfeit detection, the ability to capture serial numbers from every note for tracking, even check, tickets and currency processing on the same machine are all available features found within the JetScan iFX product offering.

The JetScan iFX i100 series is the only product that processes currency, checks and tickets on a single device, offering ground-breaking process improvements to the gaming industry.
The JetScan iFX i400, which we unveiled at G2E, utilizes breakthrough imaging technology that provides outstanding read rates while processing currency at 1,000 notes per minute, resulting in higher throughput at a 39% faster speed than the closest competitive unit.  Its unique design can create up to 9 pockets in a space-saving vertical configuration, effectively providing a high-volume, multi-pocket sorter in a space barely larger than a desktop sorter.

The JetScan iFX i400 is truly a revolution in technology, processing and price – making high-speed multi-pocket currency processing possible at virtually any organization.

How was the feedback received from visitors and customers?
International interest for Cummins- Allison products continue to grow every year. Both new visitors and customers showed lots of excitement for our new JetScan iFX product line. We are continuously looking ahead to anticipate what customers need from our products.  I believe the positive feedback we received from the show attendees is the by-product of the effort Cummins-Allison makes in offering customers what they really need for their currency, check and ticket processing operations. However, there continues to be significant interest in our traditional line, like the JetSuite casino solution which has been established by our own customers as a best in class solution.

How did you see the show with this year's new venue and dates? Do you consider that the changes have been positive?
This G2E ranks among our best ever.  We saw a significant increase of visitors in our booth, mostly driven by our complete product offering to the gaming market.  While it is difficult to measure the specific impact of the new venue and dates, we feel that both changes definitely contributed to our success this year.

With a wide presence at international markets, which are the ones in which the company is currently more focused?
Although Cummins-Allison is active in many global markets, we have placed particular strategic emphasis on meeting the needs of the rapidly expanding Latin American gaming sector.  For example, our JetSuite product continues to be a solution of choice for ticket and currency processing applications in softcount rooms across Latin America.  At a speed of 1,000 notes per minute, this product processes tickets and currency in one pass for maximum efficiency on a rugged, small footprint two-pocket platform.

Getting closer to the end of a year affected by an important economic crisis, how do you evaluate 2011 for your company?
Despite the many ongoing challenges in the global economy, we expect to meet our overall growth targets for 2011.  Latin America will be a key contributor to overall results; we expect this trend to continue throughout 2012, particularly as we bring new product solutions like our iFX Series to market.
