Using IGT's Gibraltar license gives Betfred full access to IGT rgs, the remote game server system. IGT rgs enables operators, such as Betfred, to optimize its online game content by adding IGT's games to its current iGaming platform without investing in a new online casino system. As an existing IGT customer, Betfred is significantly expanding the range of premium games it receives through the new IGT rgs agreement.
The opening of the office and datacenter adds to IGT's European presence. IGT is the first purely business-to-business (B2B) company to be granted a Gibraltar Gaming License.
"We are delighted that Betfred.com has become the first of our partners to be serviced from our new office and datacenter in Gibraltar," said Alex Kelly, IGT vice president of Interactive. "IGT recognizes the value and appeal of Gibraltar as a world-leading gaming jurisdiction and our new Gibraltar office is ideally located for the sustained growth of our Interactive business."
"Betfred.com is a key focus area for the company and we are committed to continually improving the player experience on the site," said Chris Sheffield, Betfred.com Managing Director. "As we are licensed in Gibraltar ourselves, it was an easy decision to make the move over to the IGT rgs platform and boost our selection of market-leading games."
With IGT's continued expansion in the iGaming market, it can offer its complete portfolio of online and mobile games directly to Gibraltar-based licensees and the industry's leading business-to-consumer (B2C) operators from other approved, world-class jurisdictions. In addition, the new datacenter allows IGT to expand the capacity, capability and scalability of the IGT rgs system.
