(US).- American Gaming Systems (AGS) announced that it has received its first regulatory approval for the advanced new Roadrunner platform that will power AGS’ next generation of gaming machines, including its new GT5000 cabinet.

It has received regulatory approval for three new game titles on its Roadrunner platform.  Evening In Paris, Tropical Hideaway and Golden Panda have all been granted approval in Class III versions with anticipated Class II approval before the end of October 2011.

Bob Miodunski, CEO of AGS, had this to say about the company’s recent news: “The launch of the Roadrunner platform and its regulatory approval is a significant achievement by the new AGS management team and represents a critical milestone in our plan to move AGS into the forefront of the gaming industry.  The New Roadrunner platform is the foundation for AGS to provide our customers with a dynamic product path with entertaining and feature rich game experiences including exciting new top boxes that incorporate wheels, pachinko and other creative features.  We are very pleased with our new development team’s efforts to date, are ahead of schedule on our initial product plan and are extremely excited about the pipeline of new products being developed on our Roadrunner platform.”

AGS’s new state of the art Roadrunner platform was on display at booth 4331 at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E), at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas last week.   Also on display at the AGS booth was a variety of new and unique top-box games, notably the pachinko-based Boogie Ball and Caribbean Pearls as well as the bonus-wheel games American Celebration and Blackbeard’s Treasure. Additionally, AGS officially revealed a variety of games and products targeted to capitalize on the rollout of the Video Gaming Act in Illinois.

With its proprietary 3-D graphics engine, the Roadrunner platform features an accelerated video frame refresh rate, producing crystal-clear graphics and superior game-play features for players. Roadrunner also allows AGS to develop both Class III and Class II titles that give players the same entertainment experience and boosts AGS’ commitment to support its Class II customers and markets.

G2E also marked the official unveiling of the new AGS corporate logo and identity and the re-launch of www.AmericanGamingSystems.com.
