Pennsylvania slot machine revenue up 7.4% in September

(US).- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported on its web site that total revenue generated through the play of slot machines at Pennsylvania casinos during September rose 7.4% over the amount generated a year ago.

(US).- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported on its web site that total revenue generated through the play of slot machines at Pennsylvania casinos during September rose 7.4% over the amount generated a year ago.

According to the report, September gross revenue at the 10 operating casinos was us$ 200,148,304 from slot machine play, generating tax revenue to the Commonwealth of us$ 108,732,491. Gross revenue in September 2010 was us$ 186,365,015.

In a comparison of just the nine casinos operating in September 2011 that were also open for the full month of September 2010, revenue was 1.9% higher this year.

The average number of operating slot machines throughout Pennsylvania at the 10 casinos was 26,441 in September 2011 compared to 25,833 at the casinos in September 2010.
