(US).- American Gaming Association (AGA) president and CEO Frank J. Fahrenkopf Jr. will hold an on-site media briefing during G2E 2011 to discuss the latest gaming industry news. He will talk about the current state of the gaming industry given the challenging economic environment as well as the AGA’s position on and activities surrounding the licensing and regulation of online poker in the US.

Fahrenkopf also will debut the preliminary topline results of a soon-to-be-released economic impact study that paints the most complete picture in a decade of the industry’s contributions to the U.S economy.

The report shows that spending related to the commercial gaming industry totals nearly 1 percent of the United States’ gross domestic product. A question-and-answer session with the media will immediately follow Fahrenkopf’s remarks.

The event will be held Tuesday, October 4, at 8:30 a.m., at The Sands Expo & Convention Center .
