(US).- The Illinois Gaming Board has granted Video Gaming Technologies (VGT) licenses that will allow the company’s Illinois-based subsidiaries, VGT Manufacturing and VGT Distribution, to manufacture and distribute VGT’s video gaming terminals, Vega$ Jackpot$, in the state. The firm will also exhibit its portfolio of products at G2E 2011.

VGT is the largest privately-owned gaming machine manufacturing company in the United States and specializes in providing superior gaming machines for route operations, thus making the company and Illinois emerging route-based video gaming industry a perfect match.

In response to VGT’s licensure in Illinois, the company’s founder and CEO, Jon Yarbrough, said, “Our mission is to provide superior gaming entertainment, and that’s exactly what we’re bringing to Illinois.  I am quite confident we’ll provide a product that will surpass the Illinois players’ entertainment expectations.

Vega$ Jackpot$ was designed by VGT exclusively for the location-based Illinois video gaming terminal market, offering players nine different high-energy games from which to choose.

“We’re extremely excited to have been granted an Illinois license,” said VGT’s Senior Vice President of Sales, James Starr. “VGT has been working diligently to serve Illinois operators to the best of our ability, and we’re looking forward to introducing Vega$ Jackpot$ to Illinois players. We’re confident we’ll be able to deliver a stand-out product”.

“Because of our sterling business practices and spotless record we always believed we would have no problem getting licensed,” said Illinois Sales Manager, Frank Fortunato. “But it still serves as a vote of confidence from the state and should make all of our Illinois clients just as excited as we are.”

Now that the company is licensed, VGT is moving full speed ahead with its Illinois initiatives and will be displaying the entire Illinois product line-up at this year’s G2E show in booth 4354.  VGT is represented by the law firm of Vedder Price P.C. for gaming regulatory matters in Illinois.
