The above-mentioned are confirmed by the Vice Head of Prosecutors, Mr. Rosario Cantelmo, who stated in the Italian Press that “Intralot is out of any investigation or suspicion”. As pointed out by the Public Prosecutor's office of Naples, with which the company collaborates from the very beginning of the investigation procedure, the allegations against the current and former employees (for events occurred in 2008) are not connected with match fixing, as it was erroneously communicated yesterday by part of the Press.
Intralot Italia has immediately applied all the internal procedures in compliance with the regulation, in order to verify any possible unlawful behavior and reserves its rights to take any legal actions in order to protect its interests and reputation.
Although the current employee was released September 24 by a judicial decision, the company has taken all the appropriate disciplinary measures and has suspended him from his office pending the investigation. The employment relationship with the former employee was terminated by Intralot Italia in December 2008.
Intralot is on course to the achievement of its strategic goals in the country and will continue to offer the highest quality services in the Italian market, as it did from the beginning of its operation, thus becoming the biggest non-Italian betting operator in Italy.
