Successful GTI Asia China Expo 2011 in its 3rd anniversary

(China).- Co-organized by Haw Ji (GTI Magazine) and Guangzhou Convention & Exhibition Service Center (GZCESC) and attended by flows of visitors, exhibitors and influential guests, GTI Asia China Expo consolidated its second-to-none position in the Chinese e-game industry at its 3rd anniversary.

In 2011, this leading exhibition once again won a large amount of praise and respect from its attendees by overcoming a series of tasks such as overloaded exhibition space, complicated arrangement of venue decoration and the problems of game machine shipping.
With an exhibition area reaching 30,000 sqm, GTI Asia China Expo 2011 grandly took place on August 25-27 at halls 1, 2 & 3 of the Poly World Trade Expo Center in Guangzhou, China and accommodated 195 exhibitors including 175 local exhibitors from Mainland China, thirteen from Taiwan, two from Hong Kong and five celebrated brand names from Japan. 

Compared with the performance in the initial year of the GTI EXPO in China, the number of exhibitors grew by 43% and the exhibition space was three times bigger than in 2009.  Several influential governmental officials including Cao Jian-Liao, Vice Mayor of Guangzhou Municipality, Chuan Liang, Division Chief of Cultural Market Department of Ministry of Culture of PRC, Hong-Tao Yin, Division Chief of Ministry of Industry and Technology of PRC, Shao-Kang Chen, Deputy General Secretary of Guangzhou Municipality, Jin-Hua Liou, Chairman of China e-Game Industry Association (CGIA), Vice Inspector of Department of Culture Guangdong Province, Ye-Qun Wang, Wei-Chang Lin, Deputy Governor of Panyu District of Guangzhou, and Zong-Yi Sheng, Vice Inspector of Department of Culture of Sichuan Province were invited to attend the opening ceremony of the show on August 25. 

In the Vice Mayor’s welcome speech, he pointed out that “GTI Asia China Expo offers an ideal interactive platform for the local and overseas e-game related members.  Cross-boundary communication and cooperation will definitely advance the Chinese e-game industry and make it evolve.” 

Accompanied with by some medium-size domestic firms in medium size including Tecway/Mecpower, Topfull, Belrare, Xing Ya, CUNA, Super Wing, Ying You Shun, and Ke Xin, Chinese e-game leaders such as Wahlap, Bao Hui, Golden Dragon, Shiyu Group & UNIS, Sun Win displayed their latest achievements at hall 1.  Local domestic exhibitors at hall 2 were Sealy, Game Plus, Hua Tong, Hero, YES, San Fu, Juda, Wan Long, Hua Han, Shun Xiang, Zhenhui, Vrin, and KN&U while Fortune, Karen, Hua Qin, Hua Yue, Shun Hong, G-Look, Guang Yang, Fu Lien, Mimile, Hua Tai, Gu Wei, Cheng Fei, Dragon, Luck Amusement, KJD, Difeng, and Game Art made exhibits at hall 3.  With the participation of almost 200 domestic and overseas exhibitors, GTI Asia China Expo incredibly housed around 38,800 professional buyers and visitors.

Japanese brand names presented their products at GTI Asia China Expo

SEGA Jinwin displayed its latest games “Operation G.H.O.S.T,” “World Cup Champion Football,” “Sonic & SEGA All Star Racing” and “Golden Gun”, while Namco Bandai Games showcased “Tekken TT2,” “Dead Heat,” “Midnight Maximum Tune 3,” “Razing Storm,” and “NIRIN” at recent GIT Asia China Expo.  

Numerous visitors were continuously crowded at these two international brand names’ booths throughout the three-day fair.  Even the Vice Mayor of Guangzhou Municipality Cao Jian-Liao spared some of his precious time to experience the charm of these two companies’ games after the opening ceremony. 

In addition, TOKI and Nippo Tusho made exhibits once again; meanwhile, RS, Sanwa Denshi, Nishio Rent All (Shanghai), and Shinkoh-Elecs were the first-time exhibitors of the show.  Many visitors were amazed by the quality of RS’s dart machines and Sanwa Denshi’s parts and accessories. 

Many Japanese companies are eager to enter the Chinese e-game market but have not transformed their will into pragmatic investments yet. 

GTI Asia China Expo offered the most direct and convenient platform for them to observe the market trends and collect useful information for detailed investing evaluation. 

Taiwanese forces emerge

Including software developers, machine manufacturers and accessory suppliers, the number of Taiwanese exhibitors climbed up to 13 in GTI Asia China Expo 2011.  Lu-Hao, Le Chi Hwa, Bingotimes Digital, Jing Mi, JT-Comatz, and Wissly Precision exhibited their products and services and acquired pleasant business results.  Taiwan Yuanmei’s “Hunter Pinball” was very popular on the show floor and received a good volume of orders.

Huai I and Jyuee Ang, the two leading Taiwanese peripheral manufacturers establish footholds in China, booked a large number of booths this year.  To build up recognition and fame in the Chinese market, manufacturers from southern Taiwan such as Skyinn, Tommy Bear, and CYE also made best use of the show to promote their products.  Moreover, PACO captured many buyers’ attention by showcasing its eye-catching products like “Clown Carnival,” “Magic Fireworks,” “Monkey Club,” “Twist,” “Super Challenge” and “Fruit Hut.”

Apart from those companies making exhibits directly, many Taiwan-based game developers showcased their products via agents and distributers in China.  During the three-day show, at many Chinese companies’ booths, quite a few visitors and buyers were inquired for the products like “Kings of Valour III,” “IQ Paradise,” “Speed Rider 2” from IGS, crane machines “Toy Story” and “Push Me Out” from Feiloli, “Project X-Pher,” “Dido Kart 2 MDX,” and “Top Gunner,” from Injoy, “Football Frenzy” from Yuan Gong, and Joymax’s “Crazy Circus,” coin pushers and cabinets.  For those Taiwanese enterprises aiming for entering the Chinese e-game market, GTI Asia China Expo is the best and most straightforward access to get in touch with customers and feel the infinite room for development in Mainland China.

Anticipations soar higher for next year

To meet all kinds of demands, GTI Asia China Expo undoubtedly offered a complete spectrum of amusement products and equipment including machine guns, car racing games, fighting games, photo stickers, motion game, 3D/4D/5D theatrical facilities, joysticks, buttons, cabinets, tokens, monitors, LED lights, power switches, coin acceptors, money channels, coin changers, car readers, venue design services and many others.  During the three days, no matter in hall 1, 2 or 3, the exhibition center was full of visitors waiting in lines for experiencing the excitement of e-game equipment or having business talks.  Professional visitors were satisfied with the variety of products on display while most of the exhibitors appreciated and confirmed the efforts being made by the organizers on the promotion of the exhibition.

Over recent years, many international amusement trade shows shrink have obviously shrank in their scale and as well as the number of exhibitors owing to the global economic slump.  GTI Asia China Expo probably is the only one growing year by year.  This might directly reflects China’s unparalleled market potential in developing e-game machines and related products.  Therefore, being recognized as the best trading platform in the Chinese e-game industry, GTI Asia China Expo will shoulder on the industrial members’ soaring anticipation and keep making improvements next year.
