Aron Ezra and Keith Michel join Bally’s mobile program

(US).- Bally Technologies announced Aron Ezra and Keith Michel have joined the company as Vice President of Mobile and Director of Mobile Technology, respectively. Their responsibilities include oversight, technical and business development, implementation and execution of Bally Technologies’ mobile program.

“The ability to combine leading industry experts with state-of-the-art technology is what Aron and Keith bring to Bally,” said John Connelly, Bally’s Vice President of Business Development. “Their knowledge in mobile gaming, applications, and infrastructure will enable our customers to extend their existing core systems framework into the hand-held area of the gaming market. Bally systems customers will soon have the ability to obtain a ‘single view of the patron’ across their casino floor or remotely on iPod, iPad, Android, iOS, BlackBerry and Windows Phone 7.”

Prior to joining Bally, Ezra and Michel headed San Francisco-based MacroView Labs, which became a top mobile technology company serving the casino and hospitality industry. Acquired by Bally Technologies in 2011, MacroView Labs’ award-winning apps and mobile sites are used by millions of people. MacroView’s clients include more than 20 of the world’s leading gaming operators.

 As a frequent guest speaker on a wide range of business, gaming and technology topics, Ezra has been invited to give more than 400 presentations at conferences around the world. He has won numerous honors from organizations ranging from The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to Harvard University.

Ezra’s past highlights include serving as Senior Vice President at Hill & Knowlton, a leading international communications consultancy; and as a Director at The Advisory Board Company, a consulting firm based in Washington D.C. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English, graduating with honors from Princeton University.

Keith Michel will report directly to Arun Rajaraman, Bally’s VP of Software Development who has led the company’s development of a number of mobile technologies. Michel spent the majority of his career at start-up enterprises creating new software from the ground up. Prior to MacroView Labs, he was a Chief Architect and Technical Director at HiWired, recently acquired by Radialpoint, and the Software Architect and Development Manager at Englishtown, currently thriving in its 12th year of existence. In 2004, Michel was tapped to build the Educational Resource Center at the Boston Museum of Science, commissioned by the National Center for Technology Literacy.

Michel received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
