Intralot operations at OPAP & ODIE receive double certifications

OPAP’s certification covers all functions related to the operation and support of the lottery system, including gaming system operation activities, technical support, retailer management, and ICT operations, while ODIE’s covers all functions related to the operation and support of both the betting system and the Management Information System (MIS) for horse racing, including systems operation activities, technical support, retailer management and ICT operations.

Intralot, being a pioneer in the lottery sector has been the first international vendor to have been certified against the WLA SCS along with ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certification, taking the initiative for implementing an international Information Security Management System (ISMS) structure. As a result of this initiative, the OPAP and ODIE Operations of Intralot follow the certification of Intralot Nederlands according to the standards and increase the number of locations that Intralot has certified to five, extending the scope of the original certification under an international ISMS structure.

The certification processes involve an extensive examination of lottery and gaming systems and services, evaluating technologies and processes in terms of confidentiality, integrity and availability.

The final results revealed an impressive ISMS implementation, of zero non-conformities with the standards. The audit was performed by BSI Management Systems, one of the world’s largest certification bodies, accredited by ANAB. BSI performed on-site inspections, examining OPAP’s and ODIE’s operations.
