The resort said Wednesday that the expansion will increase its gaming space by 17 %, from 17,651 sqm to 20,624 sqm. The plans also include an unnamed restaurant, a five-story parking garage with more than 1,300 spaces, and pool renovations.
"We're very excited to announce this latest expansion," John Fontana, president of the Tampa complex, said in a prepared statement. "We also want to assure our guests that the construction will not affect their gaming, hotel and restaurant experience. Ultimately, the expansion will enhance our guests' experience with much more parking, beautiful new casino space for their favorite games, and a great new dining experience."
The hotel said the project will generate more than 500 full-time construction jobs and more than 430 permanent operations jobs. A job fair is planned for next spring.
