(US, exclusive Yogonet.com).- “The International Region is heading to the right direction”, said Eduardo Aching when asked about his recent promotion as Konami Gaming Senior Director of International Sales. He also talked about his experience in the company, his main achievements and future goals and about the main markets for Konami at a worldwide level.

What does it represent for you to have been promoted as Senior Director of International Sales of Konami?
It represents that the International Region is heading to the right direction.
 
Over your three years of experience in Konami, Which have been your main achievements?
In my opinion, our most important achievement was the implementation of our strategy. This was of capital importance, as it involved the effort of all internal departments, and our network of distributors. Without their dedication we would not be where we are today.
 
Which have been the main aims you intend to implement from now on?
We still have a few steps of our initial strategy to be implemented, which cannot be disclosed. But for sure you will see the results of it during the next months.
 
Which is Konami position in Latin America? In which markets have you entered recently and what countries do you still have to conquer?
We are present in all legal markets, and based on the feedback of some customers and our distributors, we are on the right track. We are constantly evaluating our business model, so we can improve and better serve our customers.

What Konami products have more penetration in this region?
The Podium (video) and the Advantage 5 (stepper) have been very well accepted. The game themes we launched are very well received by the players.

At a worldwide level, Which are the main markets for Konami?
We are in different phases and economical scenarios in each market around the globe. So, it is difficult to define one as most important. Instead I would say that currently the most active markets are Latin America and South Asia.

How are you preparing for G2E Las Vegas? What new products will you present?
We are almost ready, as G2E is just in a few weeks. As in past years, we will launch some new and innovative products to broad our product portfolio. For more details, you will have to visit us to check them.…

What do you think about the change of date and venue?
The most important is that it gives a few extra weeks to the operators to finalize their plans and decisions for the next fiscal year. In this sense I would say that the changes are very positive.

Will you participate in SAGSE Buenos Aires this year? What are your expectations?
For sure we will be there, in the same location as last year, and with some new products for the market. SAGSE Buenos Aires is for us one of the most important international trade shows. We have high expectations for the results, and also for the feedback about the new products.

Which are the main plans of Konami for the short and medium term?
As mentioned before, we are in process of implementing our strategy. One common point is our focus in our customers.
