(Spain).- According to the information of the latest yearbook of the Ministry of the Interior, the total amount spent in games of chance in the country was 15,583 million euros, with Madrid in the head of the list, followed by Catalonia, Andalusia and Valencia, which concentrate the 61.3 % of the total.

This expense has been reduced in a 13,13% in the whole national territory. Madrid citizens are the ones who play the most, with an expense of more than 3 billion, of which two thirds were bet in slots, 490 in bingo halls and 402 in casinos.

In Catalonia, more than 2,6 million were spent, of which 1,769 were allocated to slots,  470 to casinos and 396, to bingo halls. People in Andalusia left 2 million, most in machines, with 1,5 million, while in Valencia they spent 2,005 million, most to slots, too.

Just Castilla-La Mancha and Navarra do not have casinos in their jurisdictions, so they did not obtain any income on table games.

Melilla, Ceuta, La Rioja, Navarra and Cantabria are the autonomous government that played less, with balances of 14, 25, 127, 144 y 181 million euros, respectively.

In the whole country, the expense in games of chance has exceded the 18,285 million from 2009 to 15,883 million in 2010, a number that shows that the economic crisis is also affecting this sector.

The biggest reduction was registered in slots, which have decreased a 15,16 %, compared to cuts in bingos – a 8,28 %- and casinos – a 6,71 % compared to 2009 numbers.
