FullTiltPoker decision delayed until September

Full Tilt had its licence from the Alderney Gambling Control Commission suspended in late-June following indictments issued by the US Department of Justice and the site’s “subsequent failure to satisfy” the jurisdiction that its “activities inside and outside of the US were in order.”

The AGCC then requested that FullTiltPoker.com appear at an inquiry into the matter with legal representatives for the domain beginning yesterday’s hearing at London’s Park Plaza Victoria hotel by requesting that the session be adjourned and conducted in camera.

“It is not in the interest of justice that this should be aired in public,” said Full Tilt lawyer Martin Heslop. “There is a real risk that it may be detrimental to these interests and highly prejudicial to this decision.”

Heslop stated that ‘highly commercially sensitive information’ needed to be discussed and that making this data public could have a ‘highly damaging effect’ on the domain.

The Alderney Gambling Control Commission eventually announced that it was “in the best interests of FullTiltPoker.com customers” to adjourn the hearing until “no later tan September 15.” Whether the rescheduled hearing will be heard in public or behind closed doors remains to be seen.
